Lindes Manor Park, Latvia

Home » Объекты » Lindes Manor Park, Latvia

Lindes Manor is located on the left bank of the Daugava, behind Kegums, about an hour’s drive from Riga. It used to belong to the once famous von Plettenberg family.

During the First World War, the estate was destroyed; only the gate from 1767 has survived to this day. Having been reconstructed several years ago, it is the only gate of it kind in Latvia.

The park of the estate, famous for its mystical linden trees growing af if upside-down, has also been preserved.

Lindes Manor and its park are privately owned and regarded as monuments of national importance.

You can visit them free of charge.
