In 1939, the building at 22 Ausekļa Street was visited by the very young John Fitzgerald Kennedy as at that time the US Embassy was located here. As a student at Harvard University, he was interested in international relations and traveled around Europe and the Soviet Union. To make the future US President’s stay in Latvia as comfortable as possible, an attic floor was added to the building.

Today, A22Hotel offers its guests 19 rooms and a Presidential Suite.
