Abandoned palace for concerts and sports in Vilnius, Lithuania
The building with a unique roof design resembles a wave or a ship. The facade and interior are covered with dolomite tiles. The palace is included in the register of cultural heritage of the Republic of Lithuania and is protected by the state as an object of regional importance.
It is located within a 15-minute walk from the old town of Vilnius.
Having opened in 1971, it embraced a huge sports arena that could accommodate up to 6,000 spectators.
Now, the palace is closed to the public.
