Active recreation park Daba Laba and restaurant #MEŽĀ. Ance, Latvia

A perfect place for those who love active recreation and nature. Here, you can rent a boat for rafting in Kurzeme, go on a safari, try archery, go on a real expedition and enjoy delicious food in a beautiful restaurant in the forest.

Daba Laba is a family project that was born in 2010 out of love for nature. The complex is located in the north-east of Latvia, about 2.5 hours drive from Riga. Here you can disconnect from the routine and bustle of the city and fully immerse yourself in the world of nature. The complex offers:
– full rafting service: boat rental, SUP boards, kayaks and various routes, from one-day to three-day;
– archery tracks of different lengths. You will not only learn how to shoot a bow, but also learn more about Latvian fauna and try archers’ soup cooked on a campfire;
– safari on forest roads with the opportunity to see local lakes, swamps, the Irbene radio telescope and other places. If you are lucky, you can even meet wild animals.

The complex has its own small sauna, which makes a great opportunity to relax after rafting.

Also in the summer months, from Thursday to Sunday, the #MEŽĀ restaurant is open. From October to May, the restaurant is operating by appointment. The menu includes dishes made from ecologically clean local products. Almost every dish here is unique, prepared according to unique recipes: you will not try this anywhere else. The dishes are distinguished by their aesthetic presentation and impeccable taste. It doubles the delight to enjoy the food in a beautiful glass greenhouse, surrounded by greenery. You can also sit at a table outdoors, in the shade of the forest.

We recommend trying the signature pizzas, venison steak, seasonal desserts and the signature cocktail “Ancerols” (named after a local village, the cocktail recipe was developed by the gold medalist of the World Cocktail Championship Andris Reizenbergs).

In addition to the activities already listed, Daba Laba also offers other, larger-scale events: expeditions to different parts of Latvia, trips to Norway, hikes at different times of the year and various individual offers for active recreation and corporate events for groups of companies or friends.
