Agirregoikoa Kennel. Tartu, Estonia
Located just 20 minutes from Tartu, Agirregoikoa Kennel is a place where you can spend time with Siberian Huskies, ride in a sled and learn more about these wonderful dogs.
If you are traveling by train or bus, by prior arrangement, the owners will meet you in Tartu and take you to the kennel; this service is included in the price.
The standard program of the visit lasts two hours and begins with getting acquainted with the dogs. Then, together with the owners, you can harness the dogs and then go for a sled ride along a beautiful area. One circle can be completed in 5-7 minutes, and each guest covers 1.5 km in total. You can ride the sled at any age: children can ride in pairs, and adults – one each. When there is no snow, you can ride in a special sled on wheels.
After the trip, guests are invited to spend time with the dogs: you can walk them, learn more about each one, and take amazing photos. After the visit, the owners of the kennel will send you photos by email.
The program also includes a tea session; after a sled ride, a walk and a photo session, you can enjoy hot drinks and talk to the owners. During the conversation, you may learn all about the history and characteristics of the breed.
The 23 dogs inhabiting the kennel not only delight the guests, but also participate in various competitions. In February 2025, the owner of the kennel, together with one of the dogs, received the title of world champion in skiing competitions with dogs among men.
You can celebrate an important date in the kennel, for example, a birthday, children will love it. The offer includes a standard program + rent of a guest house for 3-6 hours.
If you wish, you can also book a guest house and spend the night in the kennel or rent a sauna separately or together with the guest house to warm up after a sled ride. More information about all the kennel services: agirre.ee
