Aizpute Castle, Latvia
The castle of the Livonian Order located in the city of Aizpute was founded in 1249 by order of Master Dietrich von Grüningen.
The castle was rebuilt, restored and used for various needs.
In 1998, the ruins of the castle were recognized as a historical monument of Latvia.
