Alexander Lutheran Church in Narva, Estonia
The only Lutheran church in Narva was built in 1881-1884 according to the design of Otto von Gippius in the style of historicism with elements of classicism. It was named in honor of the murdered Emperor Alexander II.
The church received the status of a cathedral in 2000.
The cathedral has the largest permanent light installation in Eastern Europe: “The Sky above Narva”.
Also, in the bell tower of the cathedral, there is a museum with historical exhibits.
