Art Hotel Pallas. Tartu, Estonia

The only hotel of its kind in Estonia, intertwining comfortable accommodation and art, is located in the heart of Tartu, within a short walk from the historical part of the city.

The hotel opened in 1999 and was renovated in 2020. When designing the interior, the hotel’s creators were inspired by the history and work of the Pallas School of Art, the first Estonian art school, which opened in 1919 and provided its students higher education in the field of art.

The interior is imbued with a love of art: the walls and even the ceilings of the rooms and corridors painted in a vibrant color palette make you feel as if you are inside the painting, creating a truly unique and unforgettable experience.

Pallas has 62 rooms of different categories: standard, premium, deluxe, two-room suites, as well as a premium deluxe with a private sauna. The rooms are not only beautifully decorated, but also equipped with everything necessary for a good rest: AC, TV, work area, tea making facilities, hairdryer and bath amenities. The windows offer a wonderful view of the city or the quiet courtyard.

On the 3rd and 4th floors, there is an extensive library with a large selection of books of different genres and board games. You can also come here to work if you’d like. On the 4th floor, there is a children’s corner with a soft carpet and various toys for little guests.

A buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant on the ground floor. Local products are mainly used to prepare dishes. The choice is vast, so that everyone can find something to suit their taste: there are snacks, cereals, eggs, meat dishes as well as gluten-free and vegetarian dishes.

After breakfast, Humal Restaurant serves an a la carte menu, combining the features of a restaurant, a bar and a pub. This is a new point on the gastronomic map of Tartu, which has already won many hearts, so we recommend booking a table for the evening in advance.
