Automuziejus Vilnius. Vilnius, Lithuania
Automuziejus Vilnius is the largest private museum of historical transport equipment in Lithuania. Its two floors, covering 4,600 square meters, house over 110 exhibits from 10 countries, introducing visitors to the history of transportation and automotive engineering.
The location itself is equally fascinating. The museum is housed in a former Vilnius taxi depot built in the 1970s. After a major renovation, the space was given a new lease of life, and Automuziejus Vilnius opened here in May 2023.
The collection spans various eras, from 19th-century bicycles and carriages to historic, racing, and more modern cars. More than 70 brands are represented, including Ford, Cadillac, Rolls-Royce, Volkswagen, Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, and others. Many of the exhibits have their own extraordinary history, so the museum will appeal not only to car enthusiasts.
The whole family is welcome here. Children may enjoy activities, interactive exhibits, and a hunt for interesting parts and secret compartments in the cars as well as unwind in the children’s corner with toys and coloring books.
You can explore the collection on your own or with a guide, who will tell you more about the cars and their stories. The museum also hosts themed events, lectures, and educational programs.
Automuziejus Vilnius is a unique venue for a corporate event, presentation, or private celebration.
