The museum is located in a mansion that used to belong to Eduards Smiļģis, a famous Latvian theater figure.
The museum is dedicated to Eduards Smiļģis’ work. Visitors can get acquainted with his contribution to the development of the Latvian theatrical art and explore expositions devoted to the history of the Latvian theater in the 19th-21st centuries.
