Ruins of Ungru Castle in Haapsalu, Estonia
Ungru Manor was founded in 1523 when it was separated from neighboring Kiltsi Manor.
Ungru Castle is one of the grandest neo-baroque buildings in Estonia. It was created upon the example of Mercerburg Castle, but has never been completed.
For decades, the castle was empty, which provoked its collapse in the 1940s. Nowadays, the ruins of the castle have been particularly restored.
