The modern labor market is rapidly changing, and every year more and more people are switching to remote work, which allows one to lead a nomadic lifestyle, travel a lot and live in different countries. Estonian Interior Minister Mart Helme claimed that such a decision would strengthen Estonia’s image and position on the world market, attract new consumers of goods and services to the country and contribute to a faster way out of the crisis.

Visa conditions will be carefully checked. The first to obtain such a visa will be those who can independently prove their digital nomad status. According to forecasts, up to 1800 foreigners annually will be able to legally reside in Estonia within a year.
