Glehn Castle. Tallinn, Estonia
The castle was built in the historicist style by Nikolai von Glehn in 1886.
Since 1918, it was abandoned and then looted. Its restoration began in the 1960s; the entire process took about 17 years.
There is a park with sculptures and an observatory. Opposite the castle, there are the ruins of the baron’s former winter garden known as the “Palm House”.
In the Soviet film “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles,” the castle represented the Baskerville Hall.
Today, the castle is closed to the public, but is available for rent.
