Hara Sadam is a unique tourist complex on the grounds of a former Soviet submarine base, located in the picturesque Lahemaa National Park, within an hour’s drive from Tallinn. Here, the harsh military legacy of the past is wonderfully combined with pristine nature and the sound of the sea.

Guests can choose from several cozy accommodation options along the coast, made from natural materials and equipped with electricity (showers and toilets are located in the main port building).

Guests can choose from a variety of options.

Igloo Glamping: Cozy igloo cabins for two with panoramic views of Hara Bay.

Fisherman’s Cabins: Spacious cottages by the water’s edge for families or groups of up to five people. The cabins feature a living room with a sofa, a bedroom, and a second floor.

You can stay at Hara Sadam from June until the end of the season (August–September).

For large events, seminars, and weddings (from 10 to 100+ people), the equipped glass-walled “Lehtla” pavilion, modern halls, and a huge waterfront venue are available for rent. The entire complex can be rented for a special occasion.

The main attraction is the abandoned submarine base itself. You can explore it on your own or book a guided tour. Boat trips to Hara Island, featuring stories from the 19th century, are extremely popular. Active holiday enthusiasts can rent kayaks, SUPs, or bicycles, play mini-golf; the local sailing school regularly hosts regattas and sailing training. There’s also a floating stage where concerts are often held.

After a busy day, guests can relax in four saunas, including a floating sauna. Groups may also enjoy unique master classes, ranging from stone-oven pizza baking and craft beer tasting to the traditional preparation of the famous Estonian sprats with spices, as Hara is the birthplace of Estonia’s first canned sprats.

Naga Pizza & Cuisine, a restaurant and pizzeria located in the port, is open year-round, where master chefs prepare stunning thin wood-fired pizzas. What sets local pizza apart is its long-fermented dough, which gives the dish a unique flavor and texture. In the summer of 2026, the menu will be expanded to include other dishes and local fish caught in the sea. For special occasions, the chefs can organize luxurious outdoor forest catering with white tablecloths, right in the forest wilderness or on the island’s pier.
