Helme caves in Tõrva, Estonia
One of the oldest in Estonia, Helme caves were first mentioned in documents over 200 years ago.
They were formed naturally under the influence of springs, and then were expanded by people and used as a refuge.
Initially there were 7 caves. Today, 3 caves ranging in size from 3 to 5 meters are available to visitors.
They are located in the park of the Helme estate, not far from the ruins of the castle.
