Home » Объекты » Interactive Space “Neredzama Pasaule” (The Invisible World) in Riga celebrates its 1st birthday!

The interactive space “Neredzama Pasaule” is the first ‘invisible’ venue in Northern Europe. This is a completely new format for the Baltics, where you immerse yourself in absolute darkness and instead of viewing the exposition, you feel it.

Due to the festive occassion, the tickets start from €11 per person. Discounts up to 35% for all ticket groups:
– Tour in the dark for a group of 8 people (€11 per person) / 6 people (€12 per person)
– Adult + child / student (€26), 2 adults + 2 children (€52 euros), 2 adults + 3 children (€64)
– Children and students (from €13)
– Adults (from €15)
– Date in the dark (€65)
– Children under 8 years old (free of charge)

There are several rooms in the space, where you have to find and identify objects by touch, from a sewing machine to fir cones. The sense of time and space is lost here. After the tour, you will explore an album with lighted rooms and objects, and get really surprised how much reality differs from the sensations in the dark. You will be led through all the premises by a blind guide.

At the end of the tour, you will go to the “dark cafe” with your guide. You can ask him any questions: Do they have dreams? How do blind people fall in love? How do they choose clothes? How do they use phone and computers?

All guides working in “Neredzama Pasaule” are blind. And they are all amazing people, each with their own story. Vlada is a music teacher. Ivan loves to cook and plans to host dinners in the dark in the museum in the near future. And Andris has a guide dog from Finland. In Latvia, there are no special schools for such dogs, and they have to be transported from other countries. That’s why Andris gives his dog commands in Finnish.

This is a social project that helps the blind to find work and helps visitors learn more about the life of these people. We will be grateful for your repost, because this way more people will learn about such a kind and interesting project.
