Kokmuiža Castle (Kokenhof) located in Kocenu was first mentioned in 1582.

The exterior of the house has changed three times. Initially, the house was built of wood, which is why it got its name Kokmuiža (translated from Latvian as a ‘wooden manor’).

From 1688 to 1940, there was a brewery operating at the territory.

In the 19th century, a luxurious English-style park was established around. The total area of the park is 8 hectares. In 2012, the park was reconstructed and the first spherical sundial in Latvia was installed here.

In 1937, the manor house of the Kokmuiža manor was adapted for the needs of the school, serving them to this day.

Nowadays, you can have a tour to explore the estate and take a walk in the park.
