Koni Mill, Latvia
This unique place in the Baltics is calling you to learn about the grain and wool processing, hold an event or stay overnight.
The mill is located in a picturesque place, on the bank of the Ruja River, not far from the Latvian-Estonian border. This is a historical place: despite the lack of data, it is at least 210 years old. This is the only mill in Latvia where you can simultaneously learn about two different types of agricultural activity: grain and wool processing. The mill has preserved old devices that are still operating. Here, you can also buy blankets and pillows made of sheep wool produced at the mill.
Today, the mill not only hosts excursions, it is also a unique place for recreation and events. In total, it can accommodate 83 people. There is a guest house for 2-4 guests, which is a great option if you’d like to have a romantic or family getaway. If you are into something more authentic, you can stay in one of the historical rooms in the mill itself. In high season, for a complete immersion in village life, you may stay in one of the 8 summer rooms.
The complex offers many opportunities for recreation. For example, you can relax in the sauna available for booming at an extra fee. There is a river beach on the territory, where you can sunbathe, swim and even fish. You can also rent a SUP, a boat, a raft or a pedal boat.
The mill is up for hosting various events. You can rent the entire complex, and the team will help organize an unforgettable celebration. Weddings are often held here, but the place is also perfect for a corporate event, team building and birthday party.
