Kõpu lighthouse in Hiiumaa, Estonia
The Kõpu lighthouse is one of the oldest lighthouses in the world. Located on the highest point of the island, it was built to warn merchants about the shoal.
Initially, the height of the lighthouse was about 20-24 meters, then it was increased to a height of 36 meters.
Its beacon light is located at an altitude of 102.6 meters above sea level, making it the highest one on the Baltic Sea.
Near the lighthouse, there is a cafe and a playground.
Entrance is available for a fee.
