This is an amazing trail where history and nature meet in one place. Located in the Krimulda region, its stretches across 3.6 km.

The moderately difficult route runs along the Runtinupite River and reaches the shores of the Gauja.

The trail begins at the oldest church in Latvia, Krimulda Church. Not far from the church, there is the Lili Kaupo labyrinth, which symbolizes the path through time and space.

On the way, you will discover the Traveler’s House, where you can learn the history of Krimulda from the 13th to the 19th centuries and have a cup of tea, if you’d like, for a donation.

While walking along the trail, you can also explore the sandstone outcrop, Saulstari Cave and Kubeselska Cave.

There is a spring stone called Runtini located near the confluence of Runtinyupite and Gauja.

Signs along the trail make it easy to navigate.
