Medema swamp, Latvia
This peat bog with an area of 3,400 hectares is located in the Marupe parish. In September 2023, a new trail 1.3-km long was opened here. The trail is equipped with mirrored benches, bridges, information boards and a mirrored photo frame.
The very diverse flora and fauna make the trail a perfect destination for nature lovers. The trail is also suitable for walking with children, yet not with strollers as the trail is quite narrow.
In wet weather, wearing hiking boots is advised.
