“Monteball” at Mantagailiškis manor. Birzai, Lithuania
Mantagailiškis Manor is an authentic historical place which dates back to the 16th century. The manor territory offers the opportunity to discover the unique Monteball game named after the manor itself.
The Monteball game was invented and patented in 2010 by Mantagailiškis Manor owner, local beer factory “Rinkuškiai” co-owner Sigitas Kalkys.
The principle of this game is to kick the Monteball ball into the Monteball holes in the park’s meadow with as few kicks as possible. Monteball is unique in its natural obstacles, which the players have to overcome.
Monteball game is especially popular for teams, celebrating various company or personal holidays. Monteball is also interesting in that it does not require prior physical preparation. The players are refereed by a referee throughout the game.
Monteball is available to people of different ages. The average duration of one full game is 3-4 hours, during which you can complete across 14 holes game. The shortest game lasts 1.5 hours, and during this time players aim to hit 5 holes. The number of participants is from 5 to 200 people. Can be larger groups but must be arranged in advance. Minimum price of the game is calculated from 9 people.
From May 1st to October 20th, qualifying games for the ‘Monteball Amateur Team Championship 2024’ are being held, open to anyone who wishes to participate. The prize fund includes €15,000 and two exclusive pure gold medals.
