The 6m sculpture “Medics to the World” is installed near the Latvian National Museum of Art. This is a private initiative authored by the sculpturor Aigars Bikshe. He believes that health workers are underestimated in everyday life and wants to highlight how much we depend on their knowledge in case of health issues. The working process took a couple of months; the material used is foam with a special coating. It will be up for observation at the museum building until December.

“Medics to the World” has already provoked heated discussions on the Internet. Riga residents debate about its artistic value and the way it fits the landscape of the city. The state did not participate in the financing of the masterpiece.
