For the first time, trees on Brīvības Street in Ogre were wrapped in luminous garlands in 2018. Big balls of light were added шт 2019. And this year, angels are hovering over the streets of Ogre, and a luminous carriage made of 60 thousand bright bulbs and allowed for visitors’ exploration is installed on Malkalnes Avenue. The designer of the carriage is Kristaps Stobis, whose works have also adorned another Latvian city of Liepaja.
This year, the Christmas trees can be seen in several places: in the central square, on Malkalnes Avenue and in the area of the Cardboard Factory. Besides, an installation dedicated to the Nativity of Christ is installed in front of the Ogre Municipality building.
The city will be decorated by the end of January.
