Lake Niedraja in Smiltene, Latvia

This is one of the most picturesque lakes in Latvia equipped with swimming and relaxation areas on the shore as well as trails for walking, running, cycling or skiing in the woods.

The water in the lake is clean and transparent, which also attracts visitors and diving enthusiasts.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the lake was connected by canals with neighboring forest lakes, and young ladies of the Smiltene manor used to enjoy water promenade along these lakes and canals.
