Padise Monastery, Estonia
The Cistercian monastery of Padise, founded at the beginning of the 14th century, is located in northwestern Estonia, in the village of Padise, 4.2 km from the Rummu quarry.
This is the only so-well-preserved Cistercian monastery in Northern Europe, embracing a permanent exhibition, a church, a crypt, a patio and a cellar. Thanks to good acoustics, concerts are often held here.
By the monastery, there is an information center where you can buy souvenirs and tour tickets. Also, nearby, you will find the Padise manor with a hotel and a restaurant.
