Panga Cliff, Saaremaa, Estonia
Being one of the most famous natural attractions of the island of Saaremaa, the cliff formed a thousand years ago as a result of the melting of a glacier. With a height reaching 21.3 meters and its length of 3 kilometers, the cliff is the highest on the coast of the islands of Saaremaa. Its name derives from the village located nearby.
Today, Panga is a popular recreation area with a park, a large wooden swing and a sundial.
The cliff offers a breathtaking view of the sea. It is especially beautiful during a storm, when the waves crash against the stones.
