Puhalepa Church in Hiiumaa, Estonia
One of the oldest churches on the island of Hiiumaa dates back to 1225, when it was founded in honor of St. Lawrence.
In 1636, a pulpit carved from dolomite was installed in the church. Today, this stone carved pulpit is the only one of its kind in Estonia.
Pühalepa Church changed its appearance during the construction process. In 1770, a tower was built, and later premises for the choir were added.
