Gutenbergs Terrace Restaurant in Riga, Latvia

Being one of the oldest and most famous restaurants in the Baltics, Gutenbergs Terrace is loved and adored for the best panoramic view of Riga, ascetic menu and extraordinary presentation.

The restaurant is located on the 5th floor of the Gutenbergs boutique hotel, right in the center of the Old Town. From here, you can see the Dome Cathedral, tiled roofs and narrow streets of Riga. It is especially beautiful here before sunset. The terrace is great in any weather: the restaurant has a dense retractable roof, so you shouldn’t worry if the scorching sun is burning everything down outside or the rain has started while you’re having lunch – the staff will enable the roof instantly.

The restaurant’s menu consists of just two pages: over the years, only the best and most favorite dishes have survived. We recommend trying rack of lamb, beef steak, fillet roast beef and buffalo mozzarella. However, you can choose any dish and get surprised by excellent taste and stunning presentation.

If you decide to visit Gutenbergs for the sake of its marvelous view, we recommend taking one of the desserts and a cup of coffee. And in the evening, be sure to choose something from the wine list: it’s a smart choice as the restaurant received the prestigious Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2017 and Baltic Wine list 2018 for the best wine list among hotel restaurants in Latvia.
