Salt Restaurant in Tallinn, Estonia
This cozy restaurant in the quiet center of Tallinn is located in small, but very thoughtful premises. When you get there it feels as if you are visiting your good old friend’s kitchen. The staff is very friendly, and the chef’s work can be observed from the hall.
The menu has very curious dishes, many of them represent extreme fusion. This venue’s smart team conducts experiments with food and tries unusual combinations: duck egg with truffle, asparagus and Parmesan; shrimp in kataifi; lamb with babaganush, mint and chili flakes on tacos; grilled octopus with crispy potato, roman salad and basil persillade. Ideas for dishes are brought together from all over the world. Team members regularly travel to new countries and run internships at top restaurants.
In 2012, Salt opened and was recognized as the best new restaurant in Estonia. Every year, it enters the Nordic White Guide, the Top-50 in the country, the Tripadvisor top list, Baltic Wine awards, and this and last year Salt won the Silverspoon award in Estonia.
Salt’s motto is to make the guests crave for more.
