The Riga Aviation Museum is the one of a kind in the Baltics and one of the largest in Europe.

Until March 31st, the private museum has to leave its territory at the Riga airport as the museum does not comply with the plans for the construction of the Rail Baltica station.

The museum was officially opened in 1997. Viktor Talps, a former military engineer of the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet and flight engineer of the Tu-154B and An-24 of the Latvian Civil Aviation Directorate, is also the founder and the owner of the aviation museum collection. At the moment, he is collecting donations to relocate the exhibits of the museum.
