A Japanese restaurant in the modern Porto Franco district, Roku Resto offers Asian cuisine based on skill and meticulous care for ingredients. Its quality is confirmed by the prestigious Falstaff restaurant award.

Indoors, guests are greeted by a spacious, bright dining room with abundant greenery. In summer, Roku Resto opens a large, airy terrace for comfortable al fresco lunches and dinners.

The hallmark of Roku Resto’s cuisine is absolute freshness and a zero-waste approach. Fresh ingredients are delivered daily and used entirely: there are no leftovers. Experienced chefs transform the preparation of each component into a true ritual.

The restaurant pays special attention to detail, which creates the pure flavor of its dishes. For the rice, they use a signature sauce based on high-quality Japanese vinegar and mirin developed by renowned Japanese chef Hiro Hirakata. They also don’t utilize ready-made mass-market sauces. The local soy sauce is made on-site over three days using kombu seaweed, bonito flakes, and non-alcoholic rice wine.

The main menu offers a wide selection of nigiri and sashimi as well as 15+ types of rolls. The team takes customer preferences into account: that’s how the belove hot rolls appeared on the menu, yet prepared using a signature method with light tempura powder instead of usual panko breadcrumbs.

The menu also includes unique items. Roku Resto is perhaps the only place in Tallinn where you can try rolls and nigiri with fresh, unfrozen sea bream.

Roku Resto offers a lunch special on weekdays, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The lunch menu changes weekly and combines traditional Japanese cuisine with more familiar home-cooked dishes. The donburi bowls have become a top favorite among guests. On Mondays, the restaurant offers free tea to guests who bring their own mug.
