Neringa is a resort town on the Lithuanian side of the Curonian Spit stretching for 50 km along the sea. It consists of four villages: Juodkrante, Pervalka, Preila and Nida. You should definitely come here to have a relaxing holiday, stroll along huge dunes and behold stunning views.

You can get to Neringa from Klaipeda by sea. In summer, ferry runs every 30/60 min and costs €18.30 per car (return ticket) or €1.3 per passenger.
Admission to the Neringa nature reserve: €30 per car (€5 per motorcycle).
The most interesting sights of Neringa:
1. “Grey dunes”, sandy mountains, reaching 60 meters. Entrance fee: 5 €.

2. By Nida, there are equally amazing dunes of Parnidis and the “Dead Valley” with free admission. A couple of hundred years ago, the dunes covered several villages, which explains why they are called “dead”. There is also a sundial where you can watch the sunrise and sunset.

3. One of the options where you can relax on the peninsula is the coastal village of Juodkrante. Here, you can dine at local restaurants, walk along the embankment, discover sand sculptures and climb the Witches Hill, an exposition of wooden statues depicting characters from Lithuanian fairy tales and mythical creatures of the Curonian Spit.

4. Nida is the last village on the Lithuanian side, just 4 km from the border with Russia. This is a very cozy town with lovely wooden houses and marvelous coastal views.

5. Juodkrante colony of gray herons and great cormorants is one of the largest colonies in all of Europe.

6. Avikalnis observation deck is located at the highest point of the Nida-Smiltiņa highway.

7. Preila Dune (Artist Dune) embraces a trail and an observation deck where artists used to gather for plain-airs in Soviet times.

8. If you want to take a longer walk, you can explore 3 objects located by the Amber Bay: Juodkrante Lighthouse, Sound Trap, Chair for Two.

We recommend planning at least 2 days for this route.
