Christmas in Tartu, Estonia
The Estonian city of Tartu is being prepared to hold the status of the European Capital of Culture in 2024, so every year the city becomes even fancier.
In winter, a huge Christmas tree is established on the central square, with a skating rink and a festive market in glass houses nearby.
On the first Sunday of Advent, all Christmas lights of the city center burst from a candle burning in the Town Hall Square.
The atmosphere of the Christmas spirit is also supported by cozy restaurants of the city, museums offering master classes, decorated churches and other lovely spots.
