What to do in Druskininkai?
Druskininkai is a resort town in southern Lithuania famous for its mineral springs and rich history. Surrounded by picturesque forests and lakes, Druskininkai offers a variety of opportunities for recreation and relaxation, including spa treatments, tourism and outdoor activities. Here are some interesting locations to include in your itinerary around the city.
1. “Source of Beauty”
“Source of Beauty” is the saltiest and deepest spring in Druskininkai known for its cleansing and rejuvenating properties. The spring flows from a stone bas-relief near the Nemunas located at a depth of more than 300 meters. The spring water is very salty and not recommended for drinking, but you can wash your face, hands and neck with it. It is believed that the water rejuvenates and revives skin.
2. The coast of the Nemunas river
Walk along the picturesque coast of the Nemunas river from the bridge over the Ratnichele river, which flows into the Nemunas. Along the river, you can get to Uno Park with a lovely net amusement park. This is an excellent route for a weekend walk or for a bike ride.
3. Musical fountain
One of the most famous fountains in Lithuania is located in the park near the central city hospital. In summer, there are shows conducted to the melodies selected by tourists. In the evening, beautiful lighting complements the music, so you can take impressive photos.
4. Tourist train Druskininkai
The sightseeing train visits the most beautiful places in the resort. It departs from the Druskininkai Entertainment Square on Saturdays and Sundays.

Lake Druskonis and Viyuneles Park is a great place for both relaxing and active holidays. Here, you will find sakura trees, romantic illumination and bike paths. In summer, you can go boating on the lake.
7. Lake Maiden’s Eyes
A small swampy lake located in a ravine surrounded by a pine forest consists of two reservoirs connected by a strait. You may take a walk along a recreational trail or a path on the eastern shore.
