Ruins of the Helme Order Castle, Estonia
The ruins of Helme are one of the main attractions of Estonia located on the Pärnu-Valga route.
The castle was first mentioned in historical sources in 1412. It was shaped so that to utilize the peculiarities of the hill.
In 1658, the castle was destroyed. Only massive walls made of rubble stone with openings instead of windows have survived to this day.
Due to its historical significance, the castle still attracts tourists.
