Dobele Castle is the former residence (from the 14th-16th century) of the Dobele commanders of the Livonian Order. Unfortunately, only ruins have survived to our time.

For the last two years, restoration works have been carried out in the chapel of the castle. A multifunctional center of culture and tourism is about to open there, and an observation deck with a beautiful view over the city has already been equipped above the chapel.
It will be available to visitors this summer.

A collection of historical objects of the 13th-14th centuries discovered during restoration works in the chapel is planned to be exhibited too.

The ruins of the castle are located on a 15-meter-high hill, on the right bank of the Berze River, in the town of Dobele.

The territory of the castle can be visited free of charge at any time.
