Rujiena Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saint Berthulis (Bartholomew) in Latvia
One of the oldest churches in Vidzeme, built in 1263, it was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt again during numerous wars.
In 1820 a wooden bell tower was erected.
In a fire in 1974, the church was completely burned down. Restoration work began in 1987. The church was equipped for services, and in 1993 it was consecrated. In 2017, a new tower was built on the site of the burnt tower.
