Rundale watermill, Latvia
The Rundale Manor Watermill is a part of the Pilsrundale castle complex, built at the end of the 18th century. During its existence, the mill has survived two devastating fires.
The building of the water mill was completely restored in the 1930s, when Voldemars Bergmanis became its owner. Here they installed the most up-to-date O. J. Keller machines and got involved into carpentry as well as grain, wool and fruit processing.
Now, its 5 floors host a museum whose visitors can learn the principles of operation of water mills and discover the entire process of flour production.
