Safari Park and Wine & Food Festival. Anykščiai, Lithuania

The unique place in the Baltics, where everyone can feel like a real safari park ranger and drive an SUV through the vast territory of the park, hosts the annual Wine and Food Festival, one of the largest such events in Anykščiai.

The safari park is located within 10 minutes’ drive from the city center. The park’s territory is about 50 hectares, with more than 200 animals inhabiting its territory: zebras, fallow deer, black African ostriches, Highland cows, llamas, alpacas, mouflons, donkeys, Welsh ponies, camels and buffalos. The animals graze freely on the territory of the park, being friendly to people and gladly accepting treats from visitors. Treats can be purchased at the box office before the trip.

The park offers two types of tours: private and with a guide. We recommend trying a private tour: you will not only meet the animals, but also get to drive a SUV yourself. This is a unique, unforgettable experience. If you feel unsure about driving off-road, you can book a tour with a guide, and then a park employee will be behind the wheel. The car windows are equipped with bars so that visitors feel confident interacting with the park’s inhabitants. The tour lasts 45 minutes.

The park has a cafe where you can have a snack after the ride, and two children’s areas: for toddlers and a trampoline area for older children. Every weekend, there are open-air movie nights as well as parties with music.

In 2025, from July 11 to 13 and for the first time in Lithuania, a grand Food and Wine Festival will be held, which will delight guests with an interesting program. Each day is themed. This year, the themes of each day are country, disco, and relaxation on the Mediterranean coast. The program includes live music, master classes for the whole family, delicious food and, of course, wine from local and foreign producers.
