Salt Restaurant in Tallinn, Estonia
This cozy venue in the quiet center of Tallinn is located in humble yet well-zoned premises, which make you feel like being in the kitchen of a good old pal. You’ll get served by exceptionally friendly staff and will have a chance to witness the chef’s cooking right from your table.
In 2012, once Salt opened, it was immediately recognized as the best new restaurant in Estonia. Every year, it lands in the Nordic White Guide, in the list of TOP 50 venues in Estonia, and best spots in Tripadvisor and Baltic Wine awards; in 2022 and 2023 Salt won the national Silverspoon award.
Local dished may be defined as that of ultimately extraordinary fusion. Tailored by a small team of gastronomic enthusiasts and professionals, they are bursting with experimental and bold flavors and combinations. Inspiration for dishes derived from all over the world. Team members regularly travel to new countries and have internships in the best venues.
Now, the restaurant has a special spring-themed menu where the chefs have strived to create dishes underlining the pure tastes of each ingredient.
We recommend trying:
– swordfish carpaccio with fermented nectarines,
– scallops with white garlic and baked platano puree,
– beef tartare with pickled cucumbers, brioche bun, and black caviar,
– entrecote with baked royal champignon and chimichurri sauce.
Salt’s motto is to make guests fall in love with their dishes so that they want more. And we have to admit, the restaurant is doing very well in accomplishing this goal.
