Senvage park in Panevežys, Lithuania
Senvage Park, on the old bed of the Nevežys River, is one of the most beautiful places in Panevežys.
In 2003, on the 500th anniversary of the city, a monument to the founder of Panevežys, Alexander Jagiellon, was established in the park.
The symbol of the city, a cancer, is embodied in a local monument. Legends have it that the name Panevežys comes from the word “vežys”, which means “cancer”.
Various sculptures are installed around Senvage, and places for recreation are equipped.
