Švyturys Brewery and Gastrobar in Klaipeda, Lithuania

Švyturys brewery was founded in 1784, making it the second oldest brewery in Lithuania. Here, you can learn all about the process of creating beer as well as taste its unique types and enjoy a hearty lunch.

The complex includes a brewery, a museum and a gastrobar. The brewery specializes in the production of exclusive beer and search for new combinations of flavors. Today, the Švyturys product line embraces more than 200 types of beer, including well-known in Lithuania and abroad Švyturio Ekstra, Švyturio Baltas, Švyturio Baltijos and others. Švyturys beer is exported to more than 20 countries around the world.

During a tour of the brewery and museum, you will learn not only the history of this place, but also the secrets of making beer. For example, how ingredients are selected, how new types of drink are tailored, what determines the taste of beer, etc. Tours run on Fridays and Saturdays.

After an exciting excursion, you can have lunch at the Švyturys B House gastrobar. The interior is inspired by New York and features high ceilings, huge windows, a stage and a place for dancing. This is an exceptional venue where you can enjoy delicious food and have a great time.

On the menu, you will find delicious burgers, New York-style ribs smoked on the spot, and author’s recipies, for example, the Captain’s Sandwich, the signature dish of the gastrobar and a top choice among guests. The menu also includes many snacks for every taste; we recommend paying special attention to garlic croutons.

If you hesitate which beer to choose, the waiters will be happy to suggest the one matching best with the ordered dish from a variety of bottled options and 16 drafts.

There is a pizzeria on the roof of the brewery where you can try Scandinavian pizza, which is very different from traditional Italian pizza and implies using special products and sauces.
