The family-owned restaurant serving Portuguese cuisine in the historical center of Tallinn welcomes its guests with coziness and amazing gastronomic experiences.

The hall is decorated humbly but stylishly. The blue furniture, curtains and tablecloths on the tables remind of the Atlantic Ocean, and the orange light of the lamps reflects the bright Portuguese sun. In summer, a spacious terrace is open. Fado, Bossanova and similar traditional music spills from the speakers, providing a special atmosphere.

Chef Sara Caetano, who specializes in Portuguese cuisine, is responsible for the authentic taste of the dishes. Portuguese cuisine is simple, hearty dishes that use a lot of seafood, meat and spices. Traditional Portuguese dishes include bacalhau (cod fish) and thick caldo verde soup. Both are on the menu at Tasca Portuguesa as well as a variety of appetizers, salads, main courses and desserts. There are special dishes to share – sets of snacks for a bigger company.

The restaurant often hosts various events. Some Fridays and Saturdays, live music sessions take place with Portuguese, Brazil and other interesting artists performing samba, jazz, bossa nova and other tunes.
