The Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia
One of the largest and oldest open-air museums in Europe founded in 1924 is located on the shores of Lake Jugla, within a 30-minute drive from the center of Riga.
The exhibition started forming before World War II, so many objects have been preserved in excellent condition.
Here, you can get acquainted with the life and traditions of all historical regions of Latvia, explore the houses of farmers, artisans and fishermen, watch the craftsmen at work and try your hand at ancient crafts.
In summer, the largest craft fair in Latvia takes place here, and in winter, you can go skiing and sledding.
This is a perfect place where history and nature intertwine, and the whole family will enjoy spending time.
