Hiiumaa is the second largest island in Estonia with an area of 989 km². In this list, we have collected the most interesting places to visit here.
1. Park with a copy of the Eiffel Tower
A 31-meter high wooden copy of the famous French tower is one of the most controversial sights in Estonia.

2. Tahkuna Lighthouse
Located in the northern part of Hiiumaa, this is the tallest lighthouse in Estonia with a height of 42.7 m above sea level.

3. Hiiumaa War Museum
The museum exhibition is dedicated to the military issues of Hiiumaa in the 20th century. It’s very proud of its collection of coastal defense artillery pieces.

4. Kõpu Lighthouse
The Kõpu lighthouse is one of the oldest lighthouses in the world, created to warn merchants about the Hiius shoal.

5. Ristna Beach
This is one of the most beautiful beaches in Estonia with perfect waves for surfing, which make it popular among water sports enthusiasts.

6. Ristna Lighthouse
Built in 1874 with an additional function to warn seamen about the ice blocking of the sea route, it reaches the height of 29.5 meters.

7. “Ernst Jaakson” motor sailboat
This three-masted motor sailboat is one of the largest old ships still preserved in Estonia. It is 35 meters long and 8 meters wide.

8. Ornithological tower in Oryaku
Orjaku Tower is one of the largest bird watching towers in Estonia. It is located on Mount Oryaku near the Gulf of Kaina.

9. Cape Saaretirp (“Shin Bend”)
One of the most beautiful places in Hiiumaa is a 3-kilometer gravel ridge extending into the sea.

10. Kassari Chapel
This is the only working chapel in Estonia stone-made with a thatched roof.
