The European Best Destinations Organization (EBD) has selected 10 beaches for the safest possible vacation after Covid-19. Among the considered indicators, there were such as the spreading of coronovirus across the country, the size of beaches, and the approximate number of square meters per visitor. The committee also noted the presence of hospitals and private villas, apartments and small hotels intensely taking care of disinfection and precaution issues.
Following Greece, Portugal, Poland and Malta, Latvia (Jurmala) and Lithuania (Nida) have got to the 8th and 9th place respectively.
Jurmala: 33km of sandy beaches, Art Nouveau villas, spa hotels and the relaxing odour of pines. Latvia has been affected by coronovirus approximately 60 times less than Europe’s most hit countries.
Nida: over 100km of sandy beaches and the second largest dune in Europe. Lithuania has been affected by coronovirus approximately 40 times less compared to the Europe’s most hit countries.
