Trakai, Lithuania
Trakai is a unique city-museum and nationally protected cultural heritage in the southeastern part of Lithuania.
The city attracts tourists with its unusual geographical location. One of the main attractions is the Trakai Island Castle, which rises in the center of Lake Galvė. Nowadays, this former residence of the Lithuanian royal family is housing the Historical Museum.
The main street of Trakai cuts the entire peninsula into two parts. In summer, the city stretches along the entire lake, and in winter, you can move around the city across the frozen lakes.
