Skanakalna Nature Trail in Mazsalaca. Latvia
The Skanakalna trail runs along the right bank of the Mazsalaca River. It is a popular trekking, hiking and family-friendly trail.
Here you can observe picturesque sandy outcrops, caves, rocks and winding bends of the river from equipped observation platforms. Children will love the Dwarven Trail with its wooden sculptures.
The most famous sights of the trail are the Cave of Angels, the Skabumballas Cave with a small spring, the Nelku Rock and the Devil’s Altar with stunning views.
