Anninmuiža manor and park in Riga, Latvia
The Anninmuiža Manor (Annenhof Waldschloss) is the only manor in the Imanta district of Riga with a part of the neo-Renaissance complex having survived.
⠀
At the end of the 17th century, on the site of the Anninmuiža manor, there was the Meiner manor, which was first mentioned in documents in 1595.
⠀
Later, after the manor was renamed Anninmuiža, it was also referred to as “the Merry Manor” due to various balls and theatrical performances often held there.
⠀
In the early 70s of the 20th century, the building became the property of the Latvian University.
⠀
Nowadays, the estate is suffering from its emergency state. The old villa is surrounded by woods with walking paths.
